Bio

Anida is a travel enthusiast who loves learning about one’s culture and educating others.  She’s taught English in Japan and at Hmong American Partnership where she also helped Karen and Somali refugee students navigate through cultural barriers and apply to higher education. 

As an educator, Anida believes in a holistic approach and utilizes a social justice framework in her pedagogy.  She earned her master’s degree at the University of St. Thomas’ Leadership in Student Affairs program in hopes to aid college students on their academic journey.  Prior to her role at the Tutoring & Academic Success Center, she worked in various roles across the higher education field i.e. student life, study abroad, peer mentor program, orientation, admissions, etc. 

Aside from teaching, Anida enjoys nature walks, reading webtoons, playing video games, and traveling.
