To schedule an appointment, please contact our front desk: (612) 624-3323. Please note that if you fail to show for more than one session, or you postpone frequently, you will need to talk with your ASAP coach by phone before being allowed to make another appointment. Repeated cancellations or appointment no-shows will make you ineligible for our services.
Academic Skills Assessment Package (ASAP)
The Academic Skills Assessment Package (ASAP) is available to all University of Minnesota students who could benefit from more formal assessment and individual attention on a range of skills, attitudes, and practices with a demonstrated connection to academic success at the college level. Students will be assessed on:
- Level of motivation
- Social engagement
- Attitudes and learning practices across specific academic skill areas (e.g., time management, test-taking strategies, concentration, study aid usage, etc.)
Students will meet three times with an academic skill coach to develop greater awareness and understanding of their academic strengths and areas for improvement, and create a personalized action plan to enhance performance and satisfaction in their coursework.
